Doctor Who - Who's He? #51 Making love with his ego
Who's He?This week Phil and Paul travel back in time and give their opinions on the next 2009 special, The Waters of Mars. Do they think it still stands up as the classic that it is purported to be or is it another clunker following on from the Planet of The Dead? All I will say is that for once, they both agree! Admittedly this could make for a very dull podcast. Also, the news this week sheds light on how the production of series 7 is coming along, the casting rumour mill and the sad news of the passing of another Who actor.

Radio Free Skaro #300 - Build High For Happiness
Radio Free SkaroAfter five and a half years of middling Doctor Who talk and wildly inaccurate discussion about the programme and those who create it, The Three Who Rule reach the amazing milestone of their 300th episode of Radio Free Skaro. It's been an epic ride from virtual obscurity for our first two years of existence to where we are today, and what better way to celebrate this event than the return of the Miniscope! In this instalment, we discuss the work of minor director Nicholas Mallett, whose Doctor Who output ranged from the very worst ("Paradise Towers") to the very best ("The Curse of Fenric"), and everything in between ("The Mysterious Planet"). Given Warren's rampant distaste for the Sylvester McCoy era, surely this will be a painful experience for him...or will it? This is the type of intrigue that has kept this show going for 300 episodes, and will push it into the future for at least a couple more.

Tim's Take On: Episode 111(Being Human Panel at SFX Weekender 3)
Tim's Take On...The last show covering this year's SFX Weekender is the Being Human panel featuring it's creator Toby Whithouse, there are SPOILERS if you've not yet seen episode one of being human's fourth series but it's very interesting to hear Whithouse's views on how the show has developed.
Before the show ends there's a brief interuption from Davros, who seems to have received something destined for this show.
End theme is Doctor Who: Band Aid Mix
If you want to send me comments or feedback you can email them to tdrury2003@yahoo.co.uk or contact me on twitter where I'm @tdrury_alt or send me a friend request and your comments to facebook where I'm Tim Drury and look like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/tdrury/3711029536/in/set-72157621161239599/ in case you were wondering.

The Oncoming Storm Episode 2: The Many Talents of Mark Gatiss
The Oncoming StormIn this episode, Josh and Ashley cover the first two Big Finish Doctor Who release, The Sirens of Time and Phantasmagoria. After some rambling plot summaries (Look, you try to do a Doctor Who story summary in under 3 minutes!), there's discussion about Multi Doctor stories, a rant about Gallifrey, and a debate on the merits of Historical stories. The Oncoming Storm... mumbling our way into your hearts, one story at a time.

DWO WhoCast - #233 - Doctor Who Podcast
DWO WhoCastSo, how to demonstrate just how good the Audio Go audio releases are... Dave and Siobhan take a look - or a listen - at/to Evil of the Daleks. And to tie in with that, Sobhan has a quick fumble with the Big Finish audio play of The Destructors, the Terry Nation pilot script for his hoped for American tv series.
There's also a bit of nonsensical news. Oh, and WhoCast news... As Stan Lee would say: 'When Cometh The Yoko!'
The DWO WhoCast - it actually uses the phrase 'It reeks of Terry Nationism'. Oh the shame...

Dissecting Worlds - Season 5 Conclusions
Geek SyndicateDespite Kehaar's assertions (or maybe he thinks he's slept through a whole series), Series Five wraps up our traditional "Conclusions" episode, where we try to pull together any common threads, talk about things we've missed, and probably continue to miss even more things. We also talk about some of our reader feedback and to add to the excitement it's Matt's first turn in the editing chair. The link to the "plan for far" for the DW Symposium can be found here: (http://geeksyndicate.wordpress.com/2012/02/23/ )dissecting-worlds-symposium- 2012/ Next series we are looking at Alternative Histories - we should be getting something out on the running order and content as soon as we have stopped arguing about it!

FRS 38: 'The Tomb of The Cybermen' Patrick Troughton - Part One
Fast Return SwitchYou remember when Cybermen were scary? Like really REALLY scary? We don’t. We’re all WAY to young! We grew up with the 80’s ‘Excellent!’ gold allergic handle heads.
But we have seen the old school creepy voiced proper scary Cybermen since on VHS and DVD! And man! They terrify us.
So how did we manage to laugh all the way through the first two episodes of this story? Cracking jokes about Toblerones and manbags?
That, my friends, is a little something called… friendship.

2MTL 258: "Boom Town" Two-minute Throwback
Two-minute Time LordWell, they can't all be winners. They certainly can't all be huge and epic, either, but "Boom Town" particularly suffers by being bracketed by Steven Moffat's debut and the first in a long line of budget-busting series finales.
