TDP 906: #DoctorWho Nightmare Country from @BigFinish
Tin Dog PodcastThis title was released in November 2019. It will be exclusively available to buy from the Big Finish website until December 31st 2019, and on general sale after this date. The Doctor wakes up on a planet of relics, a dead world, a hostile world... He has no memory of who he is, or how he got to be here. He'd better remember soon, because the very structure of reality is at risk and it all has something to do with that strange blue tomb with the light on top.

#134 - Moor Fougous Please
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2The Brigadier reunites with the Doctor in this week's journey into Big Finish's back catalogue with The Spectre of Lanyon Moor. This is a story mines a rich vein of classic 1970s Who to tell a new, but familiar story perfect for tea time. Was how this story written the secret to the sixth Doctor's character's rehabilitation? Are round-trip holidays to Athens that short? And, why is British electricity better? Answers to these questions in more in this weeks' podcast. Music this episode is from Alistair Lock's score from The Spectre of Lanyon Moor.

This Is What You Were Voting For
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastWe’re on the run this week — skulking in shadows and eating chips while talking about the Master’s backstory and the deplorable state of British politics. Which is a normal Sunday for us, even when we’re not talking about The Sound of Drums.
Notes and links
Richard mentions an article from The Guardian called The west’s self-proclaimed custodians of democracy failed to notice it rotting away, published about a week before this episode was recorded.
Broken News was a six-episode comedy series shown on BBC Two in 2005, which recreated the experience of channel surfing across a range of 24-hour news channels while some weird and incomprehensible news story is breaking. We love it.

Nathan is on Twitter as @nathanbottomley, James is @ohjamessellwood, Todd is @toddbeilby and Richard is @RichardLStone. The Flight Through Entirety theme was arranged by Cameron Lam, and the strings performance was by Jane Aubourg. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at @FTEpodcast.
We’re also on Facebook, and you can check out our website at flightthroughentirety.com. Please consider rating or reviewing us on iTunes, or we’ll elbow our way into your insanely popular TV show and be much more fun and entertaining than you are.

You can find Jodie into Terror, our flashcast on Series 11 of Doctor Who, at jodieintoterror.com, at @JodieIntoTerror on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts can be found.
Our James Bond commentary podcast is called Bondfinger, and you can find that at bondfinger.com, at @bondfingercast on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else as well. We’ve run out of Bond films, but there’s plenty of 1960s spy-fi nonsense to keep us going until James Bond returns next April.

Drew caught up with her at the recent An Unearthly Convention in New York for a lengthy chat about her extensive career, her upcoming projects, and yes, even a brief Pick of the Month mention, Modern Family.
In addition, we discuss the successfully sold-out convention and how it differs from most Doctor Who cons along with a mention of the Series 12 trailer.

210 - Asylum of The Daleks' Master Plan
Doctor Who: Verity! This week Deb, Erika, Liz and Tansy revisit an oft maligned (by Deb) story -- "The Daleks' Master Plan". There are a few disagreements as to pace, plot, story, Katarina... and while may not all agree on which companion actually clocks in as the official 7th companion in Doctor Who history, we do all agree that Sara Kingdom is a BAMF.
How do you feel about this "epic" adventure? Is it a rambling mess? A beloved Doctor Who romp or BOTH? And what is your preferred method for consuming this phantom of a story? Leave us a comment or send us a tweet and let us know how you feel about Bret, Sara, The Meddling Monk or any one of the other 1,183 plot points in "The Daleks' Master Plan"?
^D
Happy Things:
- Deb (and most of Doctor Who fandom) is excited about the new Series 12 Trailer -- new baddies, old baddies -- can't wait!
- Liz is particularly excited about the cosplay options the trailer inspired -- FORMAL WEAR!
- Erika is delighted Handwavium is covering one her favorite stories -- "The Sensorites"!
- Tansy is once again filled with admiration and glee at Big Finish's commitment to delving into the cracks of Doctor Who history -- particularly the new release Daughter of the Gods, which lets Katarina shine!

Ghostwatch
Waffle On PodcastWaffle On about Ghostwatch
In 1992 the BBC showed a TV Horror Mockumentary, shown at 9pm on Halloween the show caused controversy and has never been broadcast on standard tv since. Meds and Kell attended a showing of this programme along with a Q&A with creator, writer Stephen Volk and director Lesley Manning at the Midland Arts Centre and thought it woud be a perfect waffle subject. The lads also talk about the movie Doctor Sleep.
Please do join the Facebook group and join in with the many topics of chat.

#133 - The Vardan Agenda
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2The series 12 trailer dropped this past weekend, so what better time for the Metebelis Two to give their quick take on what they thought. Maddeningly though, no broadcast date was given so we speculate about possible rumoured air dates; which, in turn, leads to discussing some of the other trolling rumours swirling around series 12, and ultimately, the fate and future of Doctor Who at the BBC. Opening music is from Segun Akinola's series 11 soundtrack. Closing music is from Alistair Lock's score from the Spectre of Lanyon Moor.

Our Top 5 Nu-Who Moments
The Doctor Who ShowAs November 23, 2019 approached, the BBC started dropping a surprising amount of information about the forthcoming Series 12 of Doctor Who after a relative dearth of information for the entire year.
Then, on Doctor Who's 56th birthday, a trailer for the new series dropped. Unfortunately, we recorded this episode a few days before that (!) fully acknowledging that we'd miss the trailer that we knew was coming, however, Rob has subsequently blogged about it.
After discussion of what we know about Series 12 during our news segment, this episode then moves onto some short topics including what we're watching at present, then our main topic for the month (as revealed in our previous episode), Our Top 5 Nu-Who Moments.
How did we do? Did you like our picks?
And as always, we hope you like the episode...!
Doctor Who Show mailbag emails from: David Clarke, Peter Deadman, and David Young

Don’t knock it till you try it.I read a pretty good poem recently, but it wasn’t in any way related to this episode. I just thought it was a good poem. It was called “Go to the Limits of Your Longing.” Rilke wrote it. I highly recommend it. It’s World Enough and Time & The Doctor Falls, written by Stephen Moffat and aired on June 24 and July 1, 2017.
Show-notes:
10:59: If you don’t know what Xena: Warrior Princess is, this is what it is.
11:47: To His Coy Mistress
16:19: Here’s the actual 12th Doctor intro and here’s the fanmade intro (created by Billy Hanshaw) that it was based on. I like Hanshaw’s version better.
28:15: Here’s a pretty good article about the whole “Doctor Who” vs. “The Doctor” debate.
52:26: Metallica’s “One” music video

On the Set with Dame Derek Jacobi
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastThis week, we’re joined by TV’s Adam Richard to talk about Martha, the Master, Heather Locklear, Coronation Street and Russell’s original plans for the end of the season. And we also talk about a little Doctor Who episode that we like to call Utopia.
Notes and links
Scream of the Shalka was a Doctor Who story written by Paul Cornell and released by the BBC as a Flash animation in 2003. It starred Richard E Grant as the Doctor and Derek Jacobi as a weird robot version of the Master, who was kept captive in the Doctor’s TARDIS. It was released on DVD in 2013. (Amazon US) (Amazon UK) (Amazon AU).
Derek Jacobi also plays the War Master in Big Finish’s The Master of Callous. Adam recommends it.
Unlike so many Doctor Who YouTubers, Brendan loves Doctor Who. And what more proof of this do you need than his web series Say Something Nice, in which he goes through all of the lowest-rated Doctor Who episodes and says something nice about them. Bless him.
Another Master, Geoffrey Beevers, joins Tom Baker in a battle of terribly mellifluous voices in Big Finish’s Death Match, whose key scene Brendan recreates expertly during this episode.
And our final Master for the week is Alex Macqueen, who eventually reveals himself opposite Sylvester McCoy in the Big Finish story Dominion.
The Future Kind are undoubtedly inspired by the Links in the final episode of Blakes 7 Series 3, Terminal, which you can now watch online in its entirety.
And fans of SV-7 beating up a bunch of tiny seaweed Zygon monsters will also enjoy the Series 1 Blakes 7 episode, The Web.
