The rollercoaster is rolling! After a powerful season opener on New Year's Day, Spyfall Part 2 continues a very masterful run as the Doctor and Team TARDIS work to contain the Master and thwart Daniel Barton's plan with the Kasaavin! John & Taylor break down the episode, dive into the great aspects, ponder the elements that didn't quite fit, and sit gobsmacked at the impact this story has on the greater Doctor Who mythos. It's a lot to talk about, so sit back, join us for the ride, and let us know what you think on social media!

In which Ben deals with the cold, harsh reality that the Kasaavin really weren't the Vardans in disguise and David dwells on founding fathers of Gallifrey and how it could relate to the United States. Rob, Dave and Richard discuss series one of The Mandalorian.

The Mandalorian is an American space Western web television series that premiered on Disney+ on November 12, 2019. Set in the Star Wars universe, the series takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and 25 years prior to the events of The Force Awakens and follows the exploits of a Mandalorian bounty hunter beyond the reaches of the New Republic.

Jon Favreau serves as creator, head writer, and showrunner, as well as executive producer, alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. The show stars Pedro Pascal in the title role. There are eight episodes in the first season, and a second season has been ordered, to premiere in late 2020.

"Spyfall Part Two" was a strong conclusion to the opening Series 12 two-parter, but there was one creative decision I'm wary of, and another that really should have been done differently.

I just realized how weird it is that the villain in a UK story is an American. There’s probably more to that now that I think about it, something about how America gained its independence and now the UK hates them or something. It’s Arachnids in the UK, written by Chris Chibnall and aired on October 28, 2018.

It's January 2020 and Cultdom are reviewing the Doctor Who New Year Special 2020 'Spyfall' Part 1 (with Spoilers!)

So, this admittedly might not be the episode you were expecting from me right now – though I can assure you that me chatting about my 'Spyfall' feels is coming soon! HANG IN THERE! 

But no, on this episode, instead I continue on with my journey through my 'Spark Joy' series – perhaps for the last time for quote a while? -- with a story I love muchly: 'The Girl in the Fireplace'!  

Inside, you'll hear me going on and on for AGES (LONGEST. EPISODE. Ben explains his reasoning why he thinks those shimmery aliens are Vardans, while a skeptical David suggests perhaps they're Gallifreyans from an alternative universe; and is time and space big enough for both Lenny Henry and Sacha Dhawan?
