The Oncoming Storm Ep 195: I, Davros - Guilt, The Prisoner of Peladon, Faction Paradox Protocols
The Oncoming StormThe storm has arrived... figuratively and literarily! The Oncoming Storm is back with episode 195, and they're brought with then an actual thunderstorm! But a little rain isn't going to stop Josh, Ashley, and Jeff from talking about Doctor Who related audios. (Editor's note: Rachel's absence is totally not rain related) First up, the crew braves flickering power to talk about the conclusion of I, Davros, Guilt by Scott Alan Woodard. Then Ashley makes everyone return to Peladon. Again. This time we get to visit with the old King Peladon in The Prisoner of Peladon by Cavan Scott and Mark Wright, as he struggles to deal with a planet full of Martin refugees. Finally, we cross over to the Eleven Day Empire to talk a little Faction Paradox by looking at the first two releases of the Faction Paradox Protocols by Lawrence Miles. It has Sontarans. Lots of... headless Sontatans. The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got no Aggedor, no Venusian Lullabys... Josh might actually like this stay on Peladon!

DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 072 - A Mild Shampoo for the Mind
Diddly Dum PodcastFor the second podcast running, the Five Faces of Delusion are only four this week as Allan has gone missing, summoned away at the last minute from his Northern fastness by a mysterious invitation to Cardiff from the movers and shakers of Doctor Who. Our faithless listeners can rest assured that, come next time, we’ll be pumping Allan thoroughly in the debriefing room (audio only alas). In his absence this week, we start a double-podcast tribute to Patrick Troughton, covering “The Highlanders” and “Tomb of the Cybermen”.
Along the way, Hayden’s Jam Pantry (hitherto thought impregnable) gets raided; we examine the curious role played by the Spurs Supporters Club at the Battle of Culloden (with a rare find of a piece of music more ear-shredding than bagpipes); Hayden auditions for TV game shows; Toberman gets a good mind-rinse with Cyber-shampoo and we drool over the long awaited Issue 3 of Vworp Vworp magazine.

TDP 652: Main Range 222 - The Contingency Club from @BigFinish
Tin Dog PodcastLondon, 1864 - where any gentleman befitting the title 'gentleman' belongs to a gentlemen's club: The Reform, The Athenaeum, The Carlton, The Garrick... and, of course, The Contingency. Newly established in St James', The Contingency has quickly become the most exclusive enclave in town. A refuge for men of politics, men of science, men of letters. A place to escape. A place to think. A place to be free. The first rule of the Contingency is to behave like a gentleman. The second is to pay no heed to its oddly identical servants. Or to the horror in its cellars. Or to the existence of the secret gallery on its upper floor... Rules that the Doctor, Adric, Nyssa and Tegan are all about to break. Written By: Phil Mulryne Directed By: Barnaby Edwards Cast Peter Davison (The Doctor), Matthew Waterhouse (Adric), Sarah Sutton (Nyssa), Janet Fielding (Tegan), Clive Merrison (George Augustus), Philip Jackson (Mr Peabody), Lorelei King (The Red Queen), Tim Bentinck (Wakefield/ Cabby/ Stonegood), Alison Thea-Skot (Marjorie Stonegood/ Computer), Olly McCauley (Edward/ The Knave). Other parts played by members of the cast. Producer David Richardson Script Editor Alan Barnes Executive Producers Jason Haigh-Ellery and Nicholas Briggs

Underworld OR The Blue Screen of Quest
PodcasticaJohn and Taylor are back this week with a review of what was voted (in three separate polls) as the least liked 4th Doctor story! It's Underworld! While the story has its merit, the execution is hindered by an overuse of blue screen technology (which was definitely in its early days). We also discuss the latest season 10 trailer and dive into a bit of speculation as to what to expect in less than a month!

Episode 160: Soupified
Trust Your DoctorStupefy!
Halfway through the final season wow. This week we’re back with possibly the most confusing story ever broadcast in the history of television. I promise. It’s Ghost Light, written by Marc Platt, aired October of 1989.
Show-notes:
5:07 Yeah, apparently they used a real house just for the exterior and apparently the observatory was added in post production.
13:37 Well searching “round mini shades” only brought up pictures of lampshades and searching “round mini glasses” brought up pictures of drinking glasses. My google fu is weak. Oh well.
17:35 There were a bunch of guys who researched these moths, but one of the first was someone named JW Tutt. Here’s a random journal article about him. The J didn’t stand for Josiah by the way.
21:19 Meh. Too lazy to read all of this. So maybe. You tell me.
24:04 It’s actually a big slug thing from Star Wars. Oh, sorry that’s Jabba. Java is an island in Indonesia.
37:21 According to a text from Dylan, she had nine heirs. See here for more details.
37:28 He was.
