Whocast #423 – Doctor Who und der Whexit
Whocast.de (Deutsche)“Liebes “Doctor Who”, ich muss gehen.

Alternate Galaxies: Star Trek: Picard (Season 1)
The Doctor Who ShowRob and Dave discuss season one of Star Trek: Picard.
Star Trek: Picard is an American web television series featuring the character Jean-Luc Picard, created for CBS All Access by Akiva Goldsman, Michael Chabon, Kirsten Beyer, and Alex Kurtzman. It is the eighth series in the Star Trek franchise, and was launched in 2020 as part of Kurtzman's expansion of the franchise.
Picard begins 20 years after Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) and sees a retired Picard deeply affected by the death of Data in that film as well as the destruction of the planet Romulus in the film Star Trek (2009).
Star Trek: Picard premiered on January 23, 2020, and its first season ran for 10 episodes until March 26. Second and third seasons were ordered before the first season debuted. The series was met with positive reviews from critics, who highlighted Stewart's performance and the focus on character over action but criticised the slow pace of the series.

Where'd you come from? Where am I going? - Village of The Angels Review
Who's He?In this episode of the Who's He? Podcast....
Review - Village of The Angels
This week Phil and Paul look but don't blink at Village of the Angels, chapter 5 of Doctor Who: Flux. With Weeping Angels, an old fashioned base under siege story and one hell of a cliff hanger, there was a lot to like. However, it did lead Phil and Paul to come up with a solution to beat a Weeping Angel that no-one had asked for.
Omega's Feedback Corner
Once again Phil is joined by Scott who reads out listener feedback.
Omega's Stats Corner
Oh no! We've got a touch of the stats again with the overnight viewing figures for Village of the Angels and the consolidate figures for Once, Upon Time.
The News
In this weeks news, we say a sad goodbye to the voice of Axos himself, Bernard Holley and we also say goodbye to the 13th Doctors TARDIS console room.
-
Keeping the Home Fires Burning
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastFrom the superfans, to the casual viewer, to the brand-new to the program, there are challenges in keeping interest in the Doctor Who franchise strong during an indeterminate filming hiatus, and an ever-changing set of access points to aired content.

DWBRcast 244 - Village of the Angels!

308: Gween and the Green Knight (They Keep Killing Suzie)
Trust Your DoctorThe more podcasts we do the more I think we should just do The Avengers.
So one day I was just walking along right, and then this girl just pops out of nowhere and stabs me! And then she uses this glove and brings me back and I’m like, what the heck. Well then I was gone again, but while I was gone she stabbed me. Again! And brought me back and so on and so forth anyway long story short I can’t die anymore. It’s They Keep Killing Suzie, written by Paul Tomlin and Dave McCulloch and aired on December 3, 2006.
Show-notes

132: Colony In Space
The Krynoid PodcastA bit of holiday advice from the Green Cathedral: better a staycation in Blighty than a sojourn on Uxarieus, a planet more miserable than Raymond Cusick at a Dalek memorabilia auction.
But this monochrome blob of clay is surprisingly sought after, with hairy hippies and corporate breadheads alike fighting to the death over it. And perhaps the indigenous residents might even feel they have a claim to the land. Not that anyone cares about that, of course.
As well as providing mud, rain and a single flower, Uxarieus offers a mother lode of the very mineral that the twelvty squillion residents of 25th Century Earth desperately need and the very eff-off WMD the Master evilly craves.
So, to this end, the future Rev Magister pretends to be an Adjudicator while the wiggy Cap'n Dent tries to put the willies up the colonists with rubbish robots and home videos of his pet gecko.
Throw in a crap puppet, prune-faced priests, over-Botoxed primitives and a prescient nod to a taboo TV host and we have something of a carnival of monsters.
But did Jim and Martin warm to the wet February clay pit that is the Colony In Space or did it leave them colder than Terry Walsh's wobbly bits?
Listen to find out!
We also review the audiobooks of The Cybermen and Paradise Towers. Find us on Spotify too.
