Mr Cole, Mr Scoones, Mr Fetch and Mr Commentary
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastIt’s Christmas in July, and an amnesiac Todd is cosplaying as Colin Baker while his missing son Brendan is slaving away in a workhouse somewhere. Meanwhile, Richard is frocked up and ready to take over the British Empire, as usual, while Nathan is wearing a brass N95 mask and a gorilla suit and dreaming of summer days spent frolicking in the forests of the planet Tara. Pass us the eggnog, someone: it’s time to meet The Next Doctor.

Nathan is on Twitter as @nathanbottomley, Brendan is @brandybongos, Todd is @toddbeilby, and Richard is @RichardLStone. The Flight Through Entirety theme was arranged by Cameron Lam, and the strings performance was by Jane Aubourg. You can follow the podcast on Twitter at @FTEpodcast.
We’re also on Facebook, and you can check out our website at flightthroughentirety.com. Please consider rating or reviewing us on iTunes, or we’ll upstage you at your next family Christmas by pretending to be a much more bombastic and somewhat less annoying version of you.
And more
You can find Jodie into Terror, our flashcast on the Whittaker Era of Doctor Who, at jodieintoterror.com, at @JodieIntoTerror on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and wherever podcasts can be found.
Our James Bond commentary podcast is called Bondfinger, and you can find that at bondfinger.com, at @bondfingercast on Twitter, on Apple Podcasts, and everywhere else as well. We’ve finished our Honor Blackman tribute season, and before embarking on our impending Kate O’Marathon, we recently spent a lovely 50 minutes admiring Joanna Lumley as Purdey in an episode of The New Avengers.

(Next Week-Redeeming the Irredeemable hits Closing Time while the Sixth Doctor gets his last review on the podcast with his first episode, the Twin Dilemma.)

#164 - The Green Green Grass of Karn
Doctor Who: The Metebelis 2Tomfest 2020 continues with our discussion of last two stories of season 13: The Brain of Morbius and The Seeds of Doom. David tries to explain why Brain never clicked for him to a disbelieving Ben, who simply adores the story! A brain in a jar, what's there not to love? The off to Antarctica and Dorchester, which are geographically speaking in Doctor Who's earth, to be about as close as the Thal and Kaled cities are from one another. Ben is startled to learn that Boyce had his own spin-off series and wonders what a Morbius and Solon spin-off from Big Finish would be like. In conclusion the two pick their top story from the season. Opening, "Molotov Cocktail", and closing music, "Amelia Ducat's Theme", is from The Seeds of Doom; both composed by Geoffery Burgon. This episode was recorded 12 July 2020.

304: The UNIT Effect (Cyberwoman)
Trust Your DoctorI wish I was a UNIT soldier who could indiscriminately fail at his job like that.
Did you know I was partially cyberized once? It’s true, if you go back to some of our old episodes I’m sure you could hear when my voice would just go all cyber for some reason. Yeah that’s when I was cyberized. Luckily I was able to uncyberize myself but unfortunately I can’t really remember how I did that so that knowledge has been lost to the ages. Sorry. It’s Cyberwoman, written by Chris Chibnall and aired on November 5, 2006.

131 The Dominators
The Krynoid PodcastAs travel restrictions relax, maybe it’s time to give Cully’s Adventures Unlimited a whirl?
His ship’s a bit of a squeeze but the elderly Lothario can secretly sail you to the enticing Island of Death with its distinctive countryside, prestigious museum and friendly fellow tourists, The Dominators.
Their Quarks are as cheesy as they sound – and they sound ridiculous. Nevertheless they’re more than capable of duffing up the docile Dulkians, who are wetter than a Sea Devil’s shower cap.
TV’s Brian Cant offers some resistance for a while but then departs for a smoke so it’s up to Jamie, Zoe, the Doctor and some other bloke dressed as the Doctor to save the day.
But what the heck is a rob’t?
Will Rago and Toba ever seek marriage guidance?
What did Cully witness when Jamie climbed that ladder?
And did The Dominators recharge Jim and Martin’s batteries or leave them as demoralised as a person pretending to be a dummy of a person?
Listen to find out!
Also available on Spotify.

DIDDLY DUM PODCAST 136 – Comics & Strips (part 1)
Diddly Dum PodcastSimon (for it is he) Brett returns to The Whoseum to engage the Diddly Dummers in idle chat about comic strips and comics – whether Doctor Who related or not. We end up spending so much time eulogising over our favourite strips that we have to do a part two next week. But before that, we celebrate a podcasting landmark.
MP3 Direct Link = DDPC136 – Comics & Strips (part 1)
We can also be found on the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance
Find Diddly Dum pics on Tumblr.
Email us at diddlydumpodcast@yahoo.co.uk
SHOWNOTES
(00:00:00) Our guest on this podcast is Simon Brett, formerly of the Blue Box Podcast and currently of the Strangers in Space Podcast. Simon can be found on Twitter here and on Facebook here and his writing and artwork can be found on his blog here.
(00:29:30) “25 Glorious Years” was a Doctor Who reference book published by W. H. Allen in 1998. Photos of the autographs and the Lee Sullivan drawing which Mark found on the flyleaf when he bought it from a second hand bookshop can be seen on our Tumblr page here.
(00:54:215) “Tank Girl” is a British comic book created by Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin. The eponymous character Tank Girl (Rebecca Buck – later revealed to have been born as Fonzie Rebecca Buckler) drives a tank, which is also her home. She undertakes a series of missions for a nebulous organization before making a serious mistake and being declared an outlaw for her sexual inclinations and her substance abuse. The comic centres on her misadventures with her boyfriend, Booga, a mutant kangaroo. The comic’s style is heavily influenced by punk visual art, and strips are frequently deeply disorganized, anarchic, absurdist, and psychedelic. The strip features various elements with origins in surrealist techniques, fanzines, collage, cut-up technique, stream of consciousness, and metafiction, with very little regard or interest for conventional plot or committed narrative. The strip was initially set in a futuristic Australia, although it drew heavily from contemporary British pop culture. A selection of frames can be found on our Tumblr page here.
(00:56:58) “Love and Rockets” (often abbreviated L&R) is a comic book series by the Hernandez brothers: Gilbert, Jaime, and Mario. It was one of the first comic books in the alternative comics movement of the 1980s. The Hernandez brothers produced stories in the series independently of each other. Gilbert and Jaime produced the majority of the material, and tended to focus on particular casts of characters and settings. Those of Gilbert usually focused on a cast of characters in the fictional Central American village of Palomar; the stories often featured magic realist elements. The Locas stories of Jaime centered on a social group in Los Angeles, particularly the Latin-American friends and sometime-lovers Maggie and Hopey. A selection of frames can be found on our Tumblr page here.

092: Lullabies & Leaves
Neither The Time Nor The SpaceThis week David & Matt discuss episode who-even-cares of Series 7, "The Rings of Akhaten". There are digressions aplenty, including Matt's capsule reviews of not one, not two, but three terrible Doctor Who parodies with the same "witty" title, and a lovely chat about British comics that will likely be impenetrable for our international listeners. David also potentially offends 2.3 billion people.

(Next Week-It's a Davison focus show as Frontios gets a review and Castrovalva gets redeemed)
