Radio Free Skaro
- Description:
- Radio Free Skaro is possibly the most popular, most prolific and charmingly irreverent (but never irrelevant) Doctor Who podcast around. Since August 2006, hosts Warren (in Vancouver, BC) and Steven (in Edmonton, AB) have provided listeners with their brand of amusing Doctor Who praise and punishment. A year later, Chris (in Amherst, NS) was added to the team, and The Three Who Rule were born. Recommended by Doctor Who Magazine, Radio Free Skaro provides an entertaining and diverting listen for the diehard or casual Doctor Who fan. New episodes usually appear on Sundays, following a loose magazine format of the three hosts discussing the news and events of the past week in the worlds of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and the Sarah Jane Adventures. They have also recorded special commentary podcasts for classic series and new series episodes of Doctor Who along with interviews of some of the brightest of the Doctor Who luminaries. Radio Free Skaro is also the official podcast of Gallifrey One, the world's largest and longest-running annual Doctor Who convention.

Radio Free Skaro #914 - Rate Limit Exceeded
Episode Duration: 0 days, 0 hours, 50 minutes and 58 secondsThe news is sparse this week, as sparse as the Thursday/Friday schedule for San Diego Comic Con, reflecting the general malaise of the entertainment media complex in these times of IP dominance and labour strife. But that won’t stop the Three Who Rule from giving their half-baked opinions on costuming, editing video tape via razor blades and gumption, the non-legacy of VR, and Threads, the latest in a long line of social media hellsites. So go on, skeet that toot into your eardrums, tweeps! Not the nighttime crowd, obviously.

Radio Free Skaro #913 - Most People Depart With a Scream
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 2 minutes and 40 secondsIt’s the end, but the moment has been prepared for…by the Three Who Rule who are ringing in Canada Day weekend by wringing out the very last vestiges of the Timelash, our popular(?) time-filling exercise in Doctor Who reflection. We also have news of Doctor Who mostly absent from SDCC, MIA for Fortnite, and country cousin Star Trek all but vanishing from Crave, which continues to be Canada’s HBO by going from quite decent to very crappy in under a year. Next week…not the Timelash, that’s for sure!

How does WKRP figure into the Tom Baker era? Why do Nimons wear loincloths? These questions and more are yours to hear and yell at in frustration!

Radio Free Skaro #907 - Let It Be
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 19 minutes and 23 secondsIt is one of the more fallow news weeks in recent memory as we have merely one Big Finish and a few novels to speak of, BUT that doesn’t stop the Three Who Rule from chewing up all of time and space with both the Timelash and and AND the return of Fluid Links! How does WKRP figure into the Tom Baker era? Why do Nimons wear loincloths? These questions and more are yours to hear and yell at in frustration!

Radio Free Skaro #906 - Dig It
Episode Duration: 0 days, 1 hours, 11 minutes and 14 secondsWe now have titles for the upcoming Doctor Who David Tennant specials, and a teaser trailer featuring Beep The Meep, Neil Patrick Harris as whoever he might be, and not a whole lot else! Still, it’s something, as is Regency costumes on Ncuti Gatwa and Co., Disney+ losing money due to cricket (so we’ll blame that on the fifth Doctor) , Big Finish, NFTs, analog NFTs in the form of Doctor Who themed Magic: The Gathering cards, and as ever the Timelash, where we decided Alec Baldwin has been hoarding 16mm prints of missing episodes! It’s Wednesday, Lemon!
