Audio 20: Blended Seaweed (Whispers of Terror)
Trust Your DoctorJust drop that seaweed in the blender and blend it right up. Yum.
Did you hear that? That noise. The one just behind you. The one that kind of sounded like a door opening. Nah, never mind, it probably wasn’t important. Probably just the wind. It’s Whispers of Terror, written by Justin Richards and released in November, 1999.
Show-notes:
0:37: Ironically, Kiyan’s specificity ended at not including the actual date of release, since it appears nobody really knows what it is.
3:45: According to the Doctor Who Podcast Alliance, the total sum of our audio output is actually 22 days.
6:18: Considering the rather blistering intro paragraph of this 2008 academic paper, it’s probably not true that indigenous Tasmanians forgot how to make fire. Unless this paper is wrong idk.
7:20: Brace yourself, I’m about to mispronounce Ncuti Gatwa‘s name.
9:00: Yeah, guess I just decided to immortalize my mistake for all eternity. Nice.
13:03: Some excerpts of the interview appear on DailyMail. Here’s the relevant part: “‘It was talent. He was the very last one, we thought we had someone and then in he came in and stole it,’ Davies said.”
35:32: Someone made a compilation of all the times Mel screamed, so you can enjoy that if you like.
36:27: Witness the atrocity known as laverbread. I’ve never tried it, so you know what, hey, it might be good.
1:05:42: It’s called Ghost in the Machine, and we’ve released an episode on it here.
52:27: Here’s what bigfinish.com looked like in 1999. Something tells me the Big Finish we know and love today weren’t the owners of the domain back then.
1:00:26: The dog in question. And on fire.
1:06:28: Here are our episodes on Ghost in the Machine and Sleep no More if you’re interested. We’ve also released an episode on Sleep No More.
1:06:32: I have no idea which story I’m talking about here. I couldn’t find it.
1:08:50: Here’s The Time Scales by the way.
1:12:20: Good news, you don’t need to navigate Twitter’s god awful interface because I’ve done it for you.

The episode stars Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, with Tom Riley[4] and Ben Millerguest-starring.[5][6][7] The BBC released a 30 second trailer for the episode on 1 September 2014.[8] Contents [hide] 1 Production 1.1 Writing 1.2 Filming 2 Episode leak 3 Reception 4 References 5 External links Production[edit] Writing[edit] In an interview with Doctor Who Magazine, writer Mark Gatiss stated that his intent with the episode was "to do the Doctor and Robin Hoodin 45 minutes". He went on to state: "The premise is inherently funny, but I didn’t think of it as the funnier episode when I was doing it. It’s still asking big questions. But it’s definitely more frivolous.”[9] Filming[edit] Filming for the episode took place in Fforest Fawr on 15 April 2014,[10][11] and later atCaerphilly Castle on 17 April.[12] On 4 September 2014, the BBC announced that a beheading scene from the episode's climatic battle had been edited out due to the recent murders of James Foley and Steven Sotloff by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.[13][14][15][16][17][18] Episode leak[edit] The script for the episode was one of five scripts leaked online from a BBC Worldwide server in Miami, where they had been sent in preparation for broadcast in Latin America.[19] On 18 August 2014, a rough version of the episode was leaked online. The leaked version was black-and-white and did not contain any visual effects or music. This followed the leaks of the previous two episodes, "Deep Breath" and "Into the Dalek". The BBC released a statement urging fans not to spread spoilers from the pirated copy.[20] Reception[edit] The critical reception of the episode was largely positive. Simon Brew of Den of Geekcommended the lightness of the episode, in contrast to Capaldi's opening two episodes. He writes that "Robot of Sherwood" is "the kind of Doctor Who you reach for when you've got a spare hour, and just want to get a great big smile on your face".[21]

Episode 59: Silly Billy
Something WhoWe are exceptionally honoured to welcome former DWM editor Gary Gillatt to the Something Who bunker for a chat about a couple of stories that have a musicial theme to them: 7th Doctor story Delta and the Bannermen, from Season 24, and 11th Doctor story Rings or Akhaten from Series 7B. This episode is the first half of that conversation and features Delta and the Bannermen.
Please like or share our podcast with people who will enjoy it, so we can build our listener base high for happiness. You can rate us directly on Apple Podcasts or Podchaser.com
You can find Gary on Twitter @Gary_Gillatt and see his work in Inside Soap magazine.

Also find his excellent YouTube series Terry Nation Army here: https://youtube.com/user/Dalek6388. And they've got a podcast here: https://dalek6388.podbean.com/ which you should definitely listen to, once you've heard this.
Richard has another podcast with co-host Emily, called "If It's Hurting, It's not Working" and it's a fun and informative look at work - why we work, how we work, and what makes a great job. And also what makes a great workplace, how to turn things round when we're not enjoying our work and, in the end, how we can all make our work better. Go to https://ifhurtnotwork.podbean.com/ and https://ifhurtnot.work for more. Episode 9 is a timely discussion about money and work.
The opening music is Three Guitars Mood 2 and, yes, that is Richard playing the ukulele and kazoo on possibly the worst ever version of the Doctor Who theme tune at the end.

092 - Honey, I Shrunk the Doctor
Arrow of Time
Have you ever wondered what a Dalek is really made of? I mean besides hate and Nikelodeon Gak. Well the Doctor attempts to answer that question by going “Into the Dalek,” having a full and complete break down in the process. In the absence of Joseph and Gabe we are joined by the always entertaining team of Santiago and Sarah. So fire up those amazing shrinking machines and get your copy books ready as Moffat takes us someplace we’ve never been before, or ever really wanted to go in the first place.Dave's choice for our I Don’t Know What To Call This Book Segment segment is Kurt Vonnegut's Slapstick, or Lonesome No More, which has exactly as many titles as it sounds!
The WhoTube this week is once again from Doctor Who Episology sensation K9HumpsMyLeg with “Doctor Who – Into The Dalek – Monster” – http://youtu.be/q3qiGUVJWxw
