After a rollicking opening to Series 7B last week, we were treated to a new episode in "The Rings of Akhaten" that received almost no love from any of the Three Who Rule. In fact, only one person had something nice to say about it, and you'll never guess who! The episode may have left a bad taste in everyone's mouth, but the return of a full stats report, and a return of our new, impromptu game called "Guess the Stats!", proved to be a splash of minty, mouthwashy goodness! That, and talk of the 50th Anniversary special, Christopher Eccleston, DVD news, and an endless list of Doctor Who t-shirt ideas, makes clear that it's not where you start, but where you finish. Next week: Ice Warriorssss...

A new series of Doctor Who is upon us, so—oh, wait, it’s not a new season, it’s just... more of the previous season? I guess? So, Tom and Louis discuss the first—d’oh, I mean sixth, or maybe seventh, I dunno—episode of the current series and discuss their thoughts on the series’ current direction, while speculating pointlessly about what will happen next. Plus, the 50th anniversary casting bombshell is discussed, Louis wonders about River’s history with the Tenth Doctor, and Tom misremembers the ending of The Web of Fear. Where else can you get such scintillating discussion about Doctor Who? In a very special episode of the Doctor Who Podcast, it’s time to take you back to where it all began.

In 2009, two men had a dream, create an episode of the DWO WhoCast in which everything was made up, not a single thing was true.

They even created a special day on the calendar to release this episode – April 1.

The rest, as they say, is history, legend. Stories passed down through the generations about the episode of the DWO WhoCast, reviewing the mystical episode The Spume of Destiny.

Missing, believed wiped for many years, this episode of the DWO WhoCast has been returned to the archives and can now be presented again to be enjoyed by a new generation of fans.

Our thanks go to Seb over at Doctor Who Online for facilitating the return of this episode.
