Dying is easy... Comedy is hard. Or at least, very subjective! Episode 96 of the Oncoming Storm sees a schism in the ranks form, as your hosts Josh, Ashley, Sacha, and Rachel take sides in the discussion of Bang Bang A Boom! by Gareth Roberts and Clayton Hickman. Pantomime is in the air as the Seventh Doctor and Mel get involved in galactic politics, a song contest, and... MURDER (DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN)! The bad jokes, and worse puns, are flying left and right. It's silly parody to the extreme, but is it any good? Before our hosts give their opinions though, they take time to debate the discussion topic of the week: Should Doctor Who do outright parody stories? Join the team and find out who has can take a (bad) joke, and who might need surgery to remove the stick from his posterior! The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got a talking hamster! Join the Three Who Drool on their tour of iconic drinking establishments from Doctor Who lore as this week they travel across space and time to the 52nd century in order to sample the booze at The Maldovarium.

Alas the patron wasn’t on the premises (lost his head, poor thing) and so, disappointed at missing the celebrity black marketeer, the Diddly Dumbers muse of the subject of Failed Alien Holidays.

The stories covered are The Leisure Hive, Paradise Towers and Midnight – during which The Rev goes wall-scrawling with the Kangs and Doc tears the Chief Caretaker a new waste disposal chute while Al feeds us with celebrity deaths in between unscheduled visits to the Gents.

Rowan Atkinson captures the younger three-quarters of the TARDIS team, while Jonny Vegas bangs them up. Bill Murray busts them out only for Ian to nearly come a cropper at the hands of Rentaghost's Mr Meaker, who himself has another bust in mind when it comes to Babs.

And an extra gets his moment in the sun too – quite literally – as William Hartnell's Lime Grove-inspired agoraphobia prevents him from indulging in a spot of location filming.

The first Doctor's old body may already be wearing thin after walking all the way to Paris but he looks as robust as Charles Atlas next to his galactically feeble granddaughter Susan, who does more to imperil the time travellers than either First Deputy Robespierre or the last-past-the-post Traitor Party.

But even in 1794 or 1964, nothing is black and white, so who’s right and who’s wrong? Robespierre or Renan? Barbara or Ian? Jim or Martin?
