On this special episode of Reality Bomb, Joy Piedmont talks with executive producer and writer Chris Chibnall, who recently concluded his four-year tenure showrunning Doctor Who. Joy talks with Chris about growing up as a fan, his experiences at the Gallifrey One convention in Los Angeles in February, the Doctor as the Timeless Child, building a writers room and much, much more! 

This week we take another turn celebrating 60 years of Doctor Who, with something that tangentially connects to the upcoming specials. We are reviewing ‘The Iron Legion’ comic strips featured in Doctor Who Weekly issues 1 through 8, written by Pat Mills, and John Wagner, and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Phil and Paul cast their eye over what Doctor Who news they have missed over the last few weeks. There is series 14 casting news with Jinkx Monsoon cast in an as of yet unspecified role and a new 60th Anniversary multimedia event called Doom's Day has been released which leaves both Phil and Paul cold.

Omega's Tat Corner

In a long overdue return to the corner of tat, it's more 60th Anniversary news with Stieff releasing a special First Doctor teddy bear that you would have to sell a kidney for if you wanted to buy it!

Review - Four to Doomsday

"Four to Doomsday" is the second serial of the 19th season of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It originally aired on BBC One in four weekly parts from 18 January to 8 February 1982. The serial features the Fifth Doctor (played by Peter Davison) and his companions Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric. The Doctor and his companions arrive on a spaceship heading to Earth, where they discover the ship's crew and passengers are actually from different eras and planets. They are being controlled by the Monarch, an advanced and manipulative alien who plans to use the humans to repopulate his own race and conquer the universe. The Doctor and his companions must stop the Monarch's plans before it's too late.

Well, Phil and Paul aren't too enthused about this story and were hoping the Target novelisation would save the day but unfortunately this was not be! However, the pair of them get into conversation about the crowded TARDIS and just how much the TARDIS crew want to punch Adric!
