Podcastica Episode 230: Time-Flight OR Let's Play Doctor Who Mad Libs!
PodcasticaThis time Taylor is joined by friend of the show Terry Manley as they discuss the 5th Doctor story (and Season 19 finale) Time-Flight! It's a bonkers adventure with next to no budget that was all inspired by Peter Grimwade's hope that he could score a ride on the Concorde! But Time-Flight is a generally panned adventure that possibly would have worked better in the middle of the season. Regardless, Taylor and Terry find the elements that work best (Kalid's accent definitely not amongst that list) and celebrate the craziness that is Time-Flight!

Episode 499 – Putting the Arrr Back in Argonite
Traveling the VortexAfter a long delay (sorry about that) we finally manage to get to another Lost In Time episode of the podcast. This time we review The Space Pirates. We read the novelization, but after completing the episode, we found that we really talked more about the TV episodes than the book.
Also some more missing stories news.
Enjoy!

Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastDashing through the snow, in a one-shark open sleigh, past some pants we go, laughing all the way. (Ha-ha-ha.) Max and Peter sing, making spirits bright, and James and Nathan do their thing in Sardicktown tonight!
Notes and links
A Christmas Carol is the story where Michael Pickwoad takes over from Ed Thomas as Doctor Who’s Production Designer. Here’s an intervew with him from Doctor Who Magazine, which includes a photograph of the painting Max mentions, “The Birth of Sardicktown”.
To help the UK get through the Christmas lockdown of 2010, Steven Moffat, Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill live-tweeted this episode at the hashtag #HalfwayOutOfTheDark. In this tweet, Steven Moffat describes Karen and Arthur’s reaction to being sidelined in this episode, and in this tweet he mentions the line that he regrets cutting at the end of the episode.

During the events of , Liv Chenka left the Doctor and the TARDIS behind. Just for one year. A year during which she would live on Kaldor, and get to know her sister Tula all over again. But Kaldor is going through a period of tumultuous change. Technology is changing at an advanced rate - the robots are evolving, artificial intelligence is adapting, and with these changes so politics is altering too. Dangerously. Can Liv and Tula make a difference during the most turbulent time in the world’s history? 4.1 Closed Loop by Guy Adams Toos needs Poul’s help on a mission so sensitive she won’t even tell him where they’re going. Needing to escape from his demons, Poul agrees. But he finds more ghosts waiting for him at their destination. Landing in the desert, Poul can’t help but be reminded of his time on Storm Mine 4... and soon he’s hearing familiar voices. As he and Toos start to dig, they’re about to discover that some secrets can’t stay buried... 4.2 Off Grid by Sarah Grochala When a Supervoc is found on the streets, claiming responsibility for a recent explosion, it’s clear to Liv and Tula that the Sons of Kaldor are attempting to frame robots for their murderous attacks. But where are they? And how to stop them? As they try to smuggle the Supervoc out of the city, it’s clear that finding the enemy will be the least of their worries as tonight... the lights are going out. 4.3 The Janus Deception by Robert Whitelock Tula is under investigation by the company - for fraud, industrial espionage and conspiracy. She knows she’s innocent... so who is impersonating her? And why? Liv, meanwhile, is nearing the finishing line of her trail, a meeting with the survivors of Storm Mine 4, in person. But will that really be the end... or a new beginning?
