WhilstJames and Trevor were at the Gallifrey convention recently, they challenged the fine folk at the Staggering Stories Podcast to a quiz showdown.

So, in the early morning of a typical Gallifrey convention day, the stage was set. Two teams, a set of microphones, and a willing and eager audience ready to cheer their side on to victory.

Galltfrey One is over, and the post con blues were made even worse this week by the news of the sad passing of Nicholas Courtney. We therefore decided that we should review a UNIT episode of Doctor Who this week. So we tried to think of the most typical story from that era, one that had everything that you could possibly want from a UNIT episode. Unfortunately, we couldn't download "Terror of the Zygons", quickly enough, so we ended up watching "The Claws of Axos".

Also this week, Paul takes a wander back through his drink addled memories of Gally, Chris pretends to be a smurf and Little Pete levels some disturbing accusations at the episode in question.

Can the Doctor pull it together long enough to remember who he is and stop the Master from stealing his remaining regenerations and destroying the universe in the process? Also this week the Fans behaving badly panel from Gallifrey One, a discussion inspired by the controversy around the character of Ianto Jones's death in Torchwood. That did of course happen back in 2009 so this is a more general discussion of how fans treat writers both online and in real life, I warn you it does get quite dark.

Then, I spend some time with the longtime volunteer whom I helped excavate the convention's official TARDIS: actor, comedian and Gallifrey One auctioneer and master of ceremonies Tadao Tomomatsu.

Continue reading 050 – Remembrance of the Androids of Blood

How do you do? Allow me to introduce you to The Cloister Room episode 017, "Robots? Clones? Robot Clones?" On it, we have much to say about the third and fourth episodes of Big Finish's Eighth Doctor Adventures series, "The Horror of Glam Rock" and "Immortal Beloved." We then have some rather heated discussion about the last few episodes of Caprica.

 Next week, we'll be looking at the classic William Hartnell story "The Daleks," and the Peter Cushing film adaptation, "Dr. Who and the Daleks." We'll also talk about the news on some upcoming new television projects.
