TDP 324: TORCHWOOD:FRANKIE
Tin Dog PodcastThe series was first announced in May 2012 alongside three other new commissions forBBC One and BBC Three. Kate Harwood, the controller of drama series and serials for the corporation described the new drama commissions as "a tribute to the huge range of creativity and talent within the in-house drama teams in both London and Salford".[3] An initial synopsis described the series as "a modern and redemptive" introspection of the life of a district nurse "whose patients matter more to her than her personal life".[3] Further information was released in September in a BBC press release that described the aim of the series as "to build up a portrayal of the challenging, complex and ultimately life affirming world of district nursing".[4] Writer and creator Lucy Gannon wrote that she was "thrilled to be writing about strong modern people [...] who all - whatever their flaws, are determined to make a difference, to make life better".[4] The series is executive produced by Hilary Salmon, produced by Erika Hossington and directed by Mark Everest. It consists of six sixty minute episodes, both set and filmed in the English city of Bristol.[4]

Big man, pig man, ha ha, charade you are
Who's He?After what seems like a lifetime, Phil and Paul finally return to their series 3 retrospective with Daleks In Manhattan. Has time been kind to this story or is it still the big mess that they remembered? Rest assured, both Paul and Phil give a reasoned critique but during the course of their dissection, Phil puts on a showgirl voice, Paul manages to insult Wales and quickly backtracks and the whole conversation degenerates into hardcore pornography.
And in the news this week, the saga of the recovered (or not recovered) missing episodes is discussed, Roath Lock will get Royal patronage, Matt Smiths thank you to cast, crew and fans and last and by no means least, Omega's Tat Corner makes it's triumphant return wherein you will hear the phrase "ring hanger".

PodKast Discusses The Snowmen Christmas Trailer
Kasterborous Podkast
This week’s podKast (with a “K”) features a discussion of the new Doctor Who Christmas trailer, revealed last week on Children in Need. We also cover the Steven Moffat and Phil Ford’s recent Writer’s Guild awards and the current state of children’s drama TV, referencing The Sarah Jane Adventures and Wizards vs Aliens. Also this week, we offer our recommendations on some recent releases and finally say goodbye to Time Leech.
Our thoughts on the Christmas trailer seem to be quite different, with Brian Terranova in particular claiming to be “depressed” by the apparent misuse of the Sontaran character as a comic character. What do you think? Has Steven Moffat devalued the Sontarans or were they always a bit of a ridiculous alien race?
If you're a new listener (welcome to the podKast!), here's how you can listen to our weekly show:
- Use the player in the top right of each page on Kasterborous.
- Listen with the "pop out" player above, which also allows you to download the podKast to your computer.
- Third, you can take advantage of the RSS feed to subscribe to the podKast for your media player, and also find us on iTunes!
We’ll be back again next week with more Doctor Who discussion…

Showrunner For A Day
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastAsk any Whovian how, if given the chance, they would make changes or alterations in the course of Doctor Who, and every last one of us would begin on a litany of hypothetical ‘tweaks’ without much hesitation. Whovians are by every definition of ‘fanaticism’ rather passionate about the program they adore, and like any proud family member, want to see if thrive and succeed in even greater ways than it already does. But would an episode appearance of K-9 being voiced by Gilbert Gottfried really add to the show’s […]

'Who' - Is The Man Podcast episode 57: and The Attack of the Lightly Edited
'Who' - Is The Man PodcastAs the name may suggest, I'm busy again and didn't have time to edit the show. Sorry. Anyway, thie time I have a look at how people look the flaws in Doctor Who.
ATTENTION: The next episode may either have to be early, or it may have to be late (sorry! Again.) because I've got a play to act in! But whenever it comes out, I will look at the Season 1 story, Boom Town - because I review The Empty Child two parter in a early episode.

'Who' - Is The Man PodcastAs the name may suggest, I'm busy again and didn't have time to edit the show. Sorry. Anyway, this time I have a look at how people look the flaws in Doctor Who.
ATTENTION: The next episode may either have to be early, or it may have to be late (sorry! Again.) because I've got a play to act in! But whenever it comes out, I will look at the Season 1 story, Boom Town - because I review The Empty Child two parter in a early episode.

Who's He? Podcast #113 Big man, pig man, ha ha, charade you are
Who's He?After what seems like a lifetime, Phil and Paul finally return to their series 3 retrospective with Daleks In Manhattan.
