DTT 5.07 The Wheel In Space
Drunken Time TravelSecond Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe Find out why Zarg Burkinshaw changed the name of his business and inadvertently ended up giving The Doctor his name. Taking drastic measures to escape a TARDIS malfunction, the Doctor and Jamie arrive on a rocket, apparently deserted in space, and soon encounter its aggressive robot guard. When a blow to the head then renders the doctor unconscious, Jamie's only hope of rescue lies in contacting the wheel space station which is orbiting nearby. In fact the rocket has other occupants, who are sending out mysterious egg-like spheres to penetrate the wheel's outer surface. What dangerous cargo do the spheres bring to the human crew of the wheel, and what is the intention of those who are sending them? PodKast Special: Andrew Smith and Bernard Padden Recall Full Circle
Kasterborous PodkastChristian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
You’re in for a treat this week as Doctor Who scriptwriter Andrew Smith recalls 1980′s Full Circle in a special interview recorded at The Lass O’Gowrie in March 2013.
Also featuring Tylos actor Bernard Padden in his first convention appearance, the interview was recorded as part of a Writercon event at the now-defunct public house and cultural epicentre.
Let this week’s podKast stand as both testament and tribute to The Lass, and all who sailed in her.
While you’re at it, listen out for stories about production on Full Circle, including a never-before told story about Lalla Ward…
If you’re somehow addicted to the sultry tones of Brian Terranova and James McLean, worry not as the duo are present to provide an introduction to the interview, conducted by editor Christian Cawley.
This is the first in a series of convention interviews on the podKast, and we’ve got some big names coming up in the next few weeks!
