Join Deb, Erika, Liz, and Tansy as we cover Erika's pick, "The Power of Three". The Ponds' penultimate story is rife with companion-based themes--to the detriment of what little plot there is.

How do you feel about the interactions between the Doctor, Amy, and Rory in "The Power of Three"? Does it give you enough to chew on so that you can ignore the weak story? (Or do you disagree and think the story is amazing?) Let us know in the comments!

In this week’s podcast we draw together the story arc in the Seventh Doctor’s era that has come to be known as “The Ace Trilogy”, comprised of Ghostlight, The Curse of Fenric, and Survival. That kicks off our discussion of our “Companion Archive’ featuring Dorothy Gale “Ace” McShane. We discuss the trilogy and the impact that Ace, played by actress Sophie Aldred, had on the series and the Doctor. We also study her relationship to the Doctor and how the character progressed from her first appearance in Dragonfire, all the way to her final television appearance in Survival (of course, she would appear once again in Dimensions in Time, but we try to forget that).

Also, our reaction to some of the news-of-the-week in Doctor Who.

This month the guys find themselves in a legitimate stone quarry right before detonation. They find a stone hand and a ring that begins to regrow when exposed to radiation. Marty wears some silly overalls and some bloake named Elrdrad keeps going on about him living. We also discuss the last in a series of main range Big Finish stories featuring the 5th Doctor, Peter Davison, Maureen O'Brien, and Peter Pervus. Marty continues his Big Finish series on the Tom Baker adventures as well. We round out the Big Finish parade this episode by talking about an older release that is the sequel to Hand of Fear, Eldrad Must Die, featuring Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Sarah Sutton, and Mark Strickson. This is a classic of Who so do the lads both feel that this is still a classic or does the fact this story isn't set in London hurt it somewhat? They also wander off topic and start discussing Disney's The Black Hole and both marvel at the wonderful London accents used by the actors.

And in the news this week, a Doctor Who 3D film event that disgustingly won't be shown in London and BARB will take into account online viewing figures, especially those in London.
