Our First Repeat! - Episode 46 – Communication Breakdown
Doctor Who: Verity!Because of the emotional ups and (mostly downs) of the last week in the world, the Verities did not have it in them to do a podcast--about love or anything else. Instead, we're releasing our first re-run. Join Deb and Erika as we give a short intro explaining why we've chosen to re-release this particular episode. At this time in history, we feel it's really important.
The conversation Deb talks about in the intro starts at 49:12, so feel free to skip to that if you only want to hear the truly relevant bit. We hope you enjoy!
As always, comments are welcome--especially messages of hope, perseverance, and love.

This week we do lots of talking about villains who don’t. Join Deb, Erika, Lynne, and Tansy as we discuss what makes silent villains so creepy and effective. We also discover just how many Moffat-baddies are non-talkers (or mostly non-talkers). And do stick around for a particularly interesting tangent about gender roles and power dynamics in communication. This Verity! ep gets positively analytical! Almost scholarly! Almost.
And of course, let us know who your favorite quiet killers are–or weigh in on the deeper debate about communication in general. Or both!

Also covered:
- ALL the verities are over the moon about the release of Liz’s Big Finish debut: Breaking Bubbles and Other Stories!
- Lynne dies of joy because Rachel Talalay and Peter Capaldi held Chicks Dig Time Lords on the set of Doctor Who!
- Erika
- wishes womeninpodcasting.org a happy 7th birthday!
- and loves DW fandom for not publicizing series 8 spoilers!
- Tansy
- welcomes The Ood Cast back to the world of active-podcasting!
- and delights in Doctor Who clothing for toddlers!

Special 5: The Three Year Anniversary!
Trust Your DoctorWe have anniversaries. Podcasts are built on anniversaries.
Yes three years in, and we’re still sitting in front of a microphone every single week just to talk about some nonsense inconsequential television show from fifty years ago. Here’s a look forward for you, we won’t catch up to where the show is right now (The Return of Doctor Mysterio) until 9/22/19. Yes, 2019. We’re here for a minimum of 3 more years. You’re welcome.
Show-notes:
You can find us at our regular places. Be sure to follow to be updated on our “The Trust Your Doctor Full Classic Retrospectivaganza” schedule. It starts on the 23rd of April, by the way, because we record stuff a week in advance.

Doctor Who - The High Council Episode 86, The Twin Dilemma Part 2
Doctor Who - The High Council**Disclaimer: This podcast contains a fair amount of bile spewed, and if you are sensitive to such spewing, you will not enjoy this episode**
A bump? A bump? What is the Doctor referring to here? As Part 2 gets started, Sean is trying to get a story out and Steve and Josh won't let him. We debate the presence of two twin boys vs twin girls. Why did they give Colin Baker the final story of Peter Davison's last season? Did this work? Why is Peri's skirt green?

Reality Bomb Episode 042
Reality Bomb - a Doctor Who podcastOn the forty-second edition of Reality Bomb, we're faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a Mr. Huffle as we discuss (or argue about) The Return of Doctor Mysterio with Joy Piedmont and David Barsky. Also, there's murder that's not cricket as author Glen Weldon (The Caped Crusade: Batman and the Rise of Nerd Culture) of NPR's podcast Pop Culture Happy Hour brings Black Orchid to the Gallery of the Underrated. And we talk about a decade of Doctor Who spinoffs with Petra Mayer, Sage Young and Jim Sangster. Plus a popular radio show and podcast examines the science of trailer predictions!
