You Have to Bring Your A-Game
Flight Through Entirety: A Doctor Who PodcastWe’ve reached the end of the first year of twenty-first century Who, and it’s time to say goodbye to Christopher Eccleston, the only Doctor whose nose has magic powers, and one of an increasing number of Doctors with northern accents. Turns out, we liked him.
Notes and links
Richard compares the Reapers to vortisaurs — creatures from the time vortex introduced in the first ever Eighth Doctor Big Finish audio adventure Storm Warning, in which he meets India Fisher’s Charley Pollard, who is totally canon. My mum said so.
In a recent New Yorker article, composer and pianist Ethan Iverson talks about the history of the music of Doctor Who. It’s a great, well-informed take, even if Iverson is less of a fan of Murray Gold than we are.
Dedicated Albion Hospital medic Richard Wilson’s autobiography is called Believe It!. It exists only in the form of a radio series. David Tennant is in it.

Jodie into Terror
There’s three episodes left of this season of Jodie into Terror, in which we foolishly broadcast our ill-considered opinions about each new episode of Series 11 of Doctor Who. Last week, we chatted about Kerblam!; we’ll be back this Tuesday with our thoughts on Episode 8. The Doctor Who Show S03 E11 - Series 11 Hits & Misses
The Doctor Who ShowWe say the Doctor Who Show is, 'where too much Doctor Who is barely enough', so on top of our weekly Series 11 Hot Takes currently airing on the channel, Rob teams up here with Steven from the New to Who podcast to give you even more.
A quick swing through some of the big (and quirky) news pieces of November is followed by a ton of listener email about the latest four episodes of Series 11, which the guys then use to drive discussion on those episodes:
Arachnids in the UKThe Tsuranga ConundrumDemons of the PunjabKerblam!
If you've been listening to the Hot Takes, this episode will still feel like a fresh take on it all, with comments from far and wide among the show's listeners. Plus, with Steven only appearing on our Rosa episode this series, his takes on the four episodes will be all-new for our listeners.
Hope you enjoy the episode! Contact us anytime, hello@theDWshow.net

On this week's show, it's "Kerblam!" - the 7th episode in the stellar 11th series of Doctor Who! In what might be our best (or worst?) episode yet, we lobby to get paid a lot of money to help the masses. And only a heartless person would deny our request.

Accept no parcels in the mail
Who's He?Kerblam! Yes, I can't believe that's the title of this weeks episode of Doctor Who for Phil and Paul to take delivery of. But take delivery they do and in this satire of a well known online store and it's ethics, both of our reviewing duo feel a bit non plussed but kind of enjoyed it at the same time. Does that make a good episode though? Listen to find out!
And in a slow news week, the lads indulge in rumours with stories of series 12 of Doctor Who apparently confirmed by the BBC for 2019 but also paired with rumours of a shorter series and Chibnall and Whittaker leaving!
