BBC Worldwide is throwing a couple of parties in Cardiff on March 24 and 25. So why the mixed reaction from Doctor Who fans for the first official Doctor Who convention in years?

Up until now, we've been discussing your comments, tweets, emails and the like on a fairly ad-hoc basis. But we've decided to have a monthly slot dedicated to your questions, views and opinions.

In this episode, we discuss your reactions to The Wedding of River Song, plus where to find Doctor Who actors in horror movies (answer: practically everywhere!). We also welcome a new guest commentator Brandon to the show, and ask for your suggestions in naming P. G. Bell's baby boy - his wife has already vetoed Stormaggedon!

During the London Riots earlier in the year, our very ownJames tried to find a quiet table and sit down with Simon Guerrier, a name that you might not all be familiar with but one that has been cropping up in the world of Doctor Who for many years now.

Simon has written for Big Finish for the Fifth and Seventh Doctors. Contributed stories to the Short Trips range. He has written original novels for the First and Tenth Doctors. Written comic strips. Made Bernice Summerfield come to life in the printed word. And produced some of the most fondly remembered documentaries which have featured on the 2Entertain range of classic series DVD releases.

In fact pretty much the only thing he HASN’T done is written for the new series.

Though that can’t be far away.

James had a fascinating chat with Simon, a man who has had such a submliminal effect on our enjoyment of Doctor Who. You might not know who he is, but after this interview, you will.

So this is it folks after five years and nearly 200 episodes the series finale of the weekly podcast that is Geek Syndicate is here.

For the last episode we threw out thoughts of planning and went out as we came in with a bottle of whisky and to quote Dr Jones 'making it up as we go'.

Enjoy and remember it's only the weekly podcast that is ending all the podcast on teh GS network will still be going as will the GS website. We will also still be doing audio interviews and features for the GS website as well as out new monthly project which will be annouced during this episode.
