Staggering Stories Commentary #199: Doctor Who - Oxygen
Staggering Stories PodcastSummary:
Adam J Purcell, Andy Simpkins and Keith Dunn sit down, hypoxiated, in front of the 2017 Doctor Who S10 episode, ‘Oxygen’, and spout our usual nonsense!
Bill is having a bad suit day, the Doctor is giving her his helmet and the techno-zombies are running rampant. But enough of their problems, please sit down with us to enjoy Oxygen...

Alternate Galaxies: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
The Doctor Who ShowRob and Dave have decided to occasionally take a look at great TV series and movies they enjoy, broadly from the genres of sci-fi and fantasy.
Not only will they look at them from all the usual angles you'd expect, but also what the broad appeal to a Doctor Who fan might be.
In this first episode, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is an American supernatural drama television series created by Joss Whedon under his production tag, Mutant Enemy Productions with later co-executive producers being Jane Espenson, David Fury, David Greenwalt, Doug Petrie, Marti Noxon, and David Solomon.
The series premiered on March 10, 1997, on The WB and concluded on May 20, 2003, on UPN. The series narrative follows Buffy Summers (played by Sarah Michelle Gellar), the latest in a line of young women known as "Vampire Slayers", or simply "Slayers".
In the story, Slayers are "called" (chosen by fate) to battle against vampires, demons, and other forces of darkness. Being a young woman, Buffy wants to live a normal life, but as the series progresses, she learns to embrace her destiny.
Like previous Slayers, Buffy is aided by a Watcher, who guides, teaches, and trains her. Unlike her predecessors, Buffy surrounds herself with a circle of loyal friends who become known as the "Scooby Gang".

Episode 165: There's a Sun!?!
Trust Your DoctorLast week (ish) there was a solar eclipse, at which point there briefly wasn’t a sun.
We’re sorry to report that Trust Your Doctor is ending. Turns out the Earth has been destroyed, and we were on it. Bit unfortunate that was, maybe next time we’ll try be as far away as possible when the Earth goes through a catastrophe.

Ep 83 - "Head Of Drama" (w/Graeme Burk)
GeeklecticBlusterin' Bug-eyed Monsters! This time, we're joined by author Graeme Burk, (host of Reality Bomb) to discuss his work curating, editing, and annotating the new book, Head Of Drama: The Memoir Of Sydney Newman. You might know him as the "idea guy" (pop pop pop!) who came up with the idea for a little show we like to call... "Adam Adamant Lives!", but - in fact - he's best known as the creator of Doctor Who. (That interview starts, oh, 20 minutes in. We get pretty punchy up to that point.) Also, Stephen, Andy, and Clay are joined by Cooper once again for the news segment, where we discuss conventions, the loss of a dear friend of the Doctor Who family, and Clay's actual excitement over the new Big Finish release "Tales From New Earth." This week's song: "Ahead By A Century" by The Tragically Hip. podcast@coalhill.com Twitter: @coalhillcon coalhill.com

Doctor Who - Ep155: Enemy of the Accents
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastHey Who fans. Thank you for jumping aboard the TARDIS for Episode 155. Great bit of news for a certain previous show runner, Adam and I are at polar opposites on this piece of merch and then onto our review for The Enemy of the World.
The News
Previous show runner Russell T Davies is awarded a Life Time Achievement Award and you could grab a signed script by Peter Capaldi (amongst other things) if you're quick. The DWAS, supported by Capaldi himself, have set up an auction on eBay to support Syrian Refugees in North London but it ends on 4th September so get in there if you can afford it.
Merch Corner
A Mr. Huffle replica. Yep. That is all.
"The Enemy of the World" Review
Yes, one of our favourite Doctor's playing a dual role in this "James Bond-esque" thriller of a story. Enough to keep us going over the six parts or are the dodgy accents enough to make us pull the plug?
Thank you as always for your support and sending in reviews. Next week it's our last of the "Capaldi stories we didn't do at the time so we're doing them now" reviews with The Caretaker. Have a fantastic week and remember - Allons-y!

Classic Rewatch: Day of the Daleks
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastFive years without a go-round with your favourite sinister salt shakers is one heck of a dry spell. Shoehorning them into the middle of a temporal causality loop story rife with guerilla future freedom fighters, gorilla thuggees, and a Time Lord who’s been tipping into the wine cellar before attempting a mad dash on a fat-wheeled trike just pushes the whole thing into lunacy. (Sweet, delicious lunacy.) How could you possibly improve upon this sack full of angry cats? Why, […]

Episode 143b: The Trial of a Time Lord -- Mindwarp
Wanderers in the 4th Dimension: A Journey Through Doctor WhoThis week we cover story #143b, the second segment of the season-long story arc The Trial of a Time Lord, Mindwarp. Still on trial, the Doctor must defend his actions leading up to a terrible fate befalling his companion Peri -- but he can't remember what happens, and it seems the Matrix's account of events is inaccurate...
QotW: If the Time Lords plucked you from time & put you on trial, what fictional character would you want to defend you and why?
So Here are the Things.../Listener Mailbag/RiffTrax The Five Doctors review
