Yes, Phil, Paul and a returning Tony plough through episodes 1 & 2 of The Gunfighters, that well regarded William Hartnell classic from 1966. Well I say well regarded as the brave trio manfully struggle with phoney American accents and try to bring you facts from the day of the original broadcast. In fact, they talk about that more than the episodes themselves, that's how bad it is!!

Ten years ago, a dream came true for many long-time fans of Doctor Who. A show long feared dead returned, stronger and better than ever....but in order for that to happen, many talented people had to come together in front of the camera and behind the scenes for a show no-one yet believed in. Director Joe Ahearne was one such individual, directing five Eccleston-era stories and witness to the chaos of that first season. He spoke to us about those days, his experiences working with Eccleston and RTD, and more! We also have snippets from press conferences held at the time, to give you more of a flavor of the atmosphere as the clock counted down to the return of Doctor Who. Happy anniversary, everyone!

Life has gotten busy and we don't want to give this up, so this is the compromise. We're reviewing the two parter here, Bad Wolf/A Parting of the Way. This is the Series One finale and the first regeneration for those who just discovered Doctor Who in 2005.

Last of my classic series reviews for a while is Doctor Who: Power of The Daleks, Patrick Troughton's debut story and a bonefide classic even though the only thing of it that excists in full is the audio.

The News

The Radio Times have released the results of their latest poll - The Top 10 Episodes of the Modern Era. This was all done by the public and the list may surprise you, it did us. Check out the list here and let us know what you think.

Who regular Mark Gatiss has been confirmed as penning one of the upcoming episodes for series 9. He says: "It has been a tough nut to crack, but I'm delighted with how scary it is. I can't say any more than that.". This is either good or not so good news depending on how you rate any of the previous Gatiss episodes.

Character Options will release a few additions as part of wave 4 at the end of March. In the 3.75 inch line up we're getting the 12th Doctor in his Caretaker outfit, the mummy from the awesome Mummy on the Orient Express episode, an up-to-date Cyberman and the menacing Scovox BLitzer. Look out for them in the usual toy stores and online.

"Survival" Review

If there's ever an era of Who that is guaranteed to spark good debate on the show it's the McCoy era. Does Survival check all the boxes for us or leave us hungry out in the sun?

In what has to be the average Tumblr user's wet dream, this story sees not just one, nor two, but 3 Paul McGanns featured in this audio story. Once everyone has calmed down from this but of news, join Josh, Ashley, Rachel, and Jeff as they try to figure out if 3 Paul McGanns is better than 1! (Spoilers: What do you think? Duh.) The Oncoming Storm... This time, we've got some string. I know, it pales to the McGanns, but it is ever so useful.
