Yes, it's time to mark an important anniversary, ten years of new who with a commentary and some thoughts about Doctor Who:Rose, also this week a short report from The Institute of Astronomy's Science Week event which featured local TARDIS builder Nath Smith and his newly finished New Series TARDIS. It’s bye bye Billy as my classic series rewatch reaches the end of the first Doctor’s era, but it’s hello Cybermen as they make their debut appearance we’ll see more of them again in the Troughton era but I have to admit to having a soft spot for their creepy voices in this first appearance.

We’ll welcome in the Troughton era next time but then the classic series reviews will take a short break for a couple of event shows to mark the 10th anniversary of Doctor’s Who’s return have been umming and erring how to mark this and have concluded doing some episode commentaries seems like the best idea.

This week my classic series mini reviews reach Doctor Who: The Celestial Toymaker, not an easy story to review as most of it is missing and the plot is quite visual, certainly writing wise it’s Dr Who as a children’s show which isn’t always the case with these 60s stories.
