Episode 43
The Doctor Who Big Blue Box PodcastWelcome Who fans to episode 43, jump onboard the Tardis for Doctor Who news (including a mild rant) and our review of The Lodger. Now, onwards we go...
The News
A bitter sweet bit of news for UK fans, the principle cast of DW (Capaldi, Coleman, Gomez and Moffat) are going to Comic Con San Diego. This is awesome news as the show’s international reach and prominence is increased but please, folks of the BBC, we have a couple of great conventions too you know.
A new book is out in October which looks like it’s going to be a corker _Doctor Who: Impossible Worlds: A 50-Year Treasury of Art and Design. The book will cover the design and evolution of things like sets, costumes, spacecraft etc and will include plenty of photos, write ups and even trivia. Pre-order your copy here.
Good news for DW fans in India as we hear that modern Who has been broadcast since 15th May on FX. It’s gained a lot of traction internationally over the last 10 years and to now see it broadcast in India is another step forward.
“The Lodger” Review
It’s back to modern Who this week as we look at a series 5 Matt Smith and James Corden team up in this creepy tale of sinister aliens, a Doctor adapting to human life and a love story which comes good. Does it leave us cheering like fans at a Sunday league football game or bored up on the second floor?
This week’s trivia question
Last episode we asked you – What is the name of the Impossible Planet? The answer is Krop Tor.
This week’s question is – Who was the only Doctor since its first appearance to never use the Sonic Screwdriver?? Send us your answer on Twitter or Facebook. Good luck!
Thank you so much for getting in touch on Facebook and Twitter with your thoughts on our review episodes. You guys are flooding us with them so we can’t read them all fully but we’ll try to include as many as time permits. Next week we’re reviewing City of Death. Until next time – Allons-y!

The Others Episode 11 Revenge of the Cybermen Part Two
The Others PodcastThe Others take a look at the third & fourth parts of Revenge of the Cybermen. Lots of discussion about the production including a very apparent fondness for the cast of Season 12 of Doctor Who. Much time and debate is spent on how many times the Cybermen had appeared between The Invasion and Revenge of the Cybermen while enjoying a very lovely cabernet sauvignon. There is also a tepid Wookie impersonation at best plus The Others come up with a possible new way of defeating the Cybermen not yet seen in the series. Lots of memories as we look back at this Cybertastic Cyber-classic.
We are The Others.
The Others is not recommended for people who don't like swearing or are easily offended.

Showrunner For A Day
Gallifrey Public Radio - A Doctor Who PodcastAsk any Whovian how, if given the chance, they would make changes or alterations in the course of Doctor Who, and every last one of us would begin on a litany of hypothetical ‘tweaks’ without much hesitation. Whovians are by every definition of ‘fanaticism’ rather passionate about the program they adore, and like any proud family member, want to see if thrive and succeed in even greater ways than it already does. But would an episode appearance of K-9 being voiced by Gilbert Gottfried really add to the show’s […]

#062 Right Brain Confidential
WHO 37 - A Doctor Who PodcastA special "behind the curtain" look at The Right Brain Project's production of "WHO TOO", the sequel to 2013's Doctor Who stage show "The Timey Wimey Fantastic Brilliant Extravaganza (Geronimo!)", in which a fearless podcaster (NOT yours truely) questions his sanity, we find out if there's life on Mars, and the Doctor meets one of her previous incarnations.
